I’m with you Dave. However, this article does simplify the underlying explanation for the unbelievable compliance we’ve witnessed. Honestly it still blows my mind!

I'm one of those anarchistic left hippy yoga all natural organic health people who didn't, & won't, fold & take an experimental injection(etc... I could go on). I haven't used pharma for decades, there was zero chance I'd even consider such a wildly dangerous propositon. But I also haven't watched media for the past 3 decades either (since completing a media degree😏), so the narrative remained ridiculous & irrational.

Routine is anathema to me. I've mostly taken it out of my lexicon & replaced it with 'rhythym'. Conceptually, it's more flexible, adaptive (the rhythm section supports the band, man!) & interactive with the rest of the band (other aspects of self, self disciple, self devotion, connection or interests, passions, etc).

I love this analogy, it's so apt.

Because, you know, rhythm could be drumming, beating, as such, or it could be melodic, like bass guitar. So now routine has become rhythm with tonal potentials & variety inbuilt into it. It's pro-actively adaptive, in a way.

It'll even adapt genres, music begins with rhythym.

... & sometimes the song, or the gig, has to stop. Or your hands & fingers bleed. Or you want to go smoke a joint with the sax player. 😂

The older one gets, the worse it gets. And then there are routines that are a pain in the butt. Chop wood and carry water I suppose?

Always out and about, no habits for us. Love travelling and nothing will change that.
